Island Garden Resort in Pangubatan

In January 2013 another secret paradise was opened for public, ISLAND GARDEN RESORT IN PANGUBATAN, Kaputian District.

An island that decided to fully convert the place to become one of a perfect getaway destination in the east coast of Samal.

HOW TO GET THERE? (Taken from their site.)

When travelling by private car:

It would take you between 45 minutes to 1 hour to drive the 24 km. cemented 

road from the Caliclic ferry boat wharf to Kaputian proper and the 

12 km. all-weather dirt road to the resort, passing thru 

Barangays San Isidro and Libertad. After the gas station in Kaputian there 

are signs guiding you to the resort.

For the first - timers to the resort, we can arrange somebody to guide 

your way from Kaputian proper upon request. Just locate the only 

gas station (Holy Infant Gas Station) at Kaputian, a few meters from the 

bus terminal area, as the rendezvous point.

Ferry Boat Fee:

Private Car / Pick-Up Truck        - PhP270.00

Passenger (More than 1 pax)     -       10.00/pax

Toll Fee (Samal Port)                -  10.00

As per January 1 the ferry runs 24 Hours 

When taking the public transport:

From Davao City, the only means of public transport is by taking one 

of the many buses (aircon and non-aircon) of the Island City Express 

stationed at the vicinity of Magsaysay Park (near the gate of Sta. Ana 

wharf) to Kaputian proper. From there, take a motorcycle ride (habal2x) 

to the resort at P50.00/pax.

You may want also to consider travelling by a motor launch from 

Sta. Ana to Kaputian wharf. This would cost you a boat ride for P60.00/pax 

and a travel time of about an hour or so.
